MIDNIGHT FOUR WHEELERS
25TH ANNIVERSARY RUN!
If you have ever met any of the 25 members of the Midnight Four Wheelers, you will quickly realize they are a fun loving, help anyone, close knit club that has been wheeling together for a very long time. To celebrate the impressive milestone of 25 years in existence, they did it up extra large, with a full BBQ brisket meal with all the trimmings and one of the best raffles around. If you didn’t have any fun this weekend, it wasn’t for lack of these guys working hard to make it special. Congratulations Midnighters on your great accomplishment!
We brought out Blue Balz this trip - still tweeking things from the motor swap and new tires/wheels. While I drove, Artie watched for clearance issues. He has done hours and hours of work already, so hopefully things will be spot on. We run the day with 90K5 (Jeremy), Obijuan (Matt), Bodie (Bodie), Dott (Dale), Bigevil (Robert), and Zukigeorge (George), with Ramman84 (John) passengering with Dott. Our leader , Dott, takes us up Kenneth’s Long Root, Broken Yoke, Stairway to Heaven, I Scream Sunday, South Park and Lucifer Park. WOW! Some played on Widow Maker on the way back to camp, but since I had volunteered to make potato salad, we went straight in. All in all it was a good day with the rig performing quite well. Artie will be lowering the front end to get our center of gravity down again - so more work . I am still learning the changes of the rig, so I am anxious to keep wheeling and perfecting my skills and learning the rig.
This was the last run of 2013, but Bob is on the ball getting things lined up already for some excellent wheeling in 2014. At this time the ranch will be open for 5 runs. Look also for a brand new website!! So long Trees Ranch --- see you in the Spring!!
